What is an intentional life?
What is an intentional life? What does it mean to live a conscious life? Does it mean that we choose whatever path we “want” – full speed ahead, regardless of the consequences?
You hate your job? But you can’t quit – it provides benefits for your family. Don’t like where you live? But my children have friends here. You aren’t happy in your relationship? But we can’t fix it and it’s too much work to change it. It’s a fine line between living a conscious, connected life that each of us defines and loves, and sometimes making the difficult choices that put our needs first.
Belief without conscious choice is life on autopilot, on someone else’s rules, lacking intentional engagement. It is our duty to engage and to question.
If we are to live a truly connected life, then our only choice is to take responsibility for who we choose to be in any given moment, and the actions we choose to takes. If we take responsibility for all of the decisions that we’ve made and who we’ve chosen to be, then we can start with the clean slate. We candraw a line in a sense and move truly forward. We can leave behind any part of our life that’s not supportive, that’s not reflective of who we want to be. And with that, we can make a decision about how we want to change our life and move forward in a positive and construction manner.
If we can find the love in any moment or in any situation, then we have the possibility of finding our happiness in that moment. The true opportunity for happiness and fulfillment exists in one moment and one moment only – this one.
Belief without conscious choice is life on autopilot, on someone else’s rules, lacking intentional engagement. It is our duty to engage and to question.
A conscious life allows us to move, toward joy, in a method and manner consistent with our truth. Every choice of intentional engagement will not only move us toward joy, but will allow to live with integrity as we follow our truth and express in every possible waking moment.
One hundred percent, honest, full-on CONNECTION is freedom – no matter what.
